Tokyo 2020/Paralympics: Algeria’s Iskandar Jamil Othmani wins silver in the 100 meters

Algerian sprinter Iskandar Jamil Othmani won the silver medal in the 100 meters race (T13 / men) at Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, today, Sunday, as part of the athletics competition.

The Algerian scored an estimated time of 10:54 sec behind the Olympic champion, Irish Jason Smit (10:53 sec). The bronze medal went to Colombian Mina Abonza John Carlos (10:64 sec).

The Algerian had excelled in his group during the semi-finals, where he achieved a time of 10:59 sec.

This is the first achievement of its kind for Iskandar Jamil Osmani, who inevitably aspires to snatch other titles, especially in the 400-meter competition (T13) in Tokyo.
