Tour of Algeria 2022: from Chlef, the riders head for Mostaganem

The third stage of the Tour of Algeria 2022 kicked off on Monday from Chlef, with the cyclists having to race a distance of 129.2 km to arrive in Mostaganem.

In front of the Mirador Hotel in downtown Chlef, the peloton of cyclists, nearly 80 representing 8 countries, gathered at 11 am to wait for the kick-off of this third round.

This third stage will take place over a distance of 129.2 kilometres, between Chlef and Mostaganem, while the fourth stage, scheduled for the following day, will be 106 kilometres long and will take place between Mostaganem and Oran.

The governor of the province, Lakhdar Sedas, kicked off this stage in the presence of the head of the national cycling federation and a number of cycling fans.

The peloton of cyclists had arrived on Sunday in Chlef from Blida as part of the 2nd stage of this international competition.

The cyclist Hamza Yacine from the Dubai Police won this second round, followed by Hamza Amari from Mouloudia d’Alger in second position, and Alexander Boutchine from the Abu Dhabi Club in third position.

The cyclist Hamza Mansouri of the military team won the yellow jersey, whereas Hamza Amari of MC Alger got the white jersey and Hamza Yacine the green jersey.
