The number of new registrants in the trade register has increased by 37.90 during the first half of 2021, compared to the same period 2020, said Sunday, a statement from the Ministry of Commerce.
The number of new registrants in the trade register reached, during the first half of 2021, a total of 97,359 for natural and legal persons, against 70,603 new registrants during the same period of the year 2020, an overall increase of 37.90%.
Compared to the first half of 2019, during which the number of new natural and legal persons registered in the trade register had reached 69,020, the increase recorded is estimated at 2.3%, the ministry said.
The figures provided by the Ministry reveal an increase in registrations, for all types, of 26.39% during the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, especially in terms of registrations in the trade register and the creation of new businesses.
The Ministry attributes this “positive” increase to a series of measures taken to promote investment and stability in the national economy despite the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
