Five people died and 198 others were injured as a result of 144 traffic accidents across several provinces of the country during the last 24 hours, according to a statement of the civil protection services, today, Sunday.
The same statement added that the civil protection units also intervened, during the same period, to treat 5 people who had started to suffocate after inhaling carbon monoxide emitted from the water heater in the province of Medea.
