61 people died and 1831 others sustained injuries of varying severity in 1422 traffic accidents recorded during the period from July 31 to August 6, across various regions of the country, according to a report issued today, Wednesday, by the civil protection services.
The same source indicated that the heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Mostaganem, with the death of 9 people on the spot of the accident, and the injury of 82 others, in 63 traffic accidents.
Meanwhile, the civil protection units put out during the same period, 1875 fires, including domestic and industrial ones.
