8 people were killed and 406 others were injured of varying severity in 346 traffic accidents that were recorded across different parts of the country during the last 48 hours, according to what was reported today, Saturday, by the Civil Protection Department.
On the other hand, civil protection personnel treated 27 people who suffocated after inhaling carbon monoxide gas emitted from heating devices in the governorates of Souk Ahras, Blida, Bouira, Boumerdes and Medea.
Civil protection units also intervened, during the same period, to put out 3 different urban fires in Boumerdes, Skikda and Bejaia, which left three people with light burns.
