Two soldiers killed and a third wounded in explosion of homemade mine in Ain Defla

Two contract soldiers lost their lives and a third one was slightly wounded when a homemade mine exploded during a search operation, yesterday, Friday, in Tacheta Zougagha area of ​​Ain Defla, according to a communiqué of the Ministry of National Defence issued today, Saturday.

The same source stated, “In the context of combating terrorism, and during a search operation in Tacheta Zougagha area, Ain Defla province, in the first military region, on August 06, 2021, and following the explosion of a traditionally-made mine, the martyrdom of contract soldier Meziane Fouad and contract soldier Amour Salaheddine was recorded. They fell in the field of honor, while the contract soldier, Dib Badreddine, was slightly wounded.

As a result of this injury, “Mr. Lieutenant-General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army, extends his sincere condolences to the families of the two martyrs, wishing a quick recovery to the wounded soldier.”

The communiqué added, “People’s National Army, through its continuous efforts to combat terrorism, renews its determination to hunt down the remnants of these criminals and eliminate them wherever they are found across the entire national territory.”
