The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Algeria, Alejandro Alvarez, expressed today, Tuesday, during his meeting with the Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani, his interest in “the Algerian experience in the field of peace and security, considering Algeria as a pivotal actor in this field, according to a statement by the ministry.
During the meeting, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, the two sides reviewed “the reality and prospects of relations between Algeria and the United Nations and mechanisms for developing opportunities for joint coordination and permanent bilateral cooperation,”. The UN coordinator expressed his interest in the Algerian experience in the field of peace and security considering that Algeria is a pivotal actor in this field , the same source said.
The two parties also expressed their willingness to strengthen and develop the forms of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the United Nations to serve mutual interests, especially in the field of media and communication, especially with regard to the aspect of training through the establishment of training courses for journalists in areas related to the sector, adds the statement of the Ministry of Communication.
