Wafa Meftah Rezki, journalist and presenter at Canal Algérie channel, died on Sunday here in Algiers at the age of 42 after a long illness, according to her relatives.
The deceased will be buried today, Monday, after Dohr prayer, in Garidi cemetery in Kouba.
Wafa Meftah Rezki, who joined the newsroom of Canal Algérie in 2004, presented several programs, including “C’est le Wee-kend”, “Un air de famille”, “Bien être”, “Bonjour d’Algérie” and “TV Rama”, as well as her last program “Paroles de femmes”.
Following this loss, “Minister of Communication and official government spokesman, Ammar Belhimer, extends his sincere condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased.”
The Director General of the General Entreprise for Algerian Television, Chaâbane Lounakel, and all employees of the Algerian television, also extended to the family of late Wafa Meftah Rezki and her relatives sincerest condolences and the sincerest expressions of sympathy and consolation following this painful tragedy.
