The civil protection units carried out several interventions yesterday, Saturday following the heavy rainfall across several provinces in the center and west of the country, as they rescued people and carried out operations to absorb water leaks inside houses and facilities, according to what was reported today, Sunday, in a communiqué issued by the General Directorate of Civil Protection.
In this regard, the source stated that the civil protection units have made several interventions following the fluctuations in the weather and rainfall, especially in the central and western provinces of the country, especially in the provinces of Algiers, Chlef, Relizane and Boumerdes.
On this occasion, the General Directorate of Civil Protection called on citizens, especially drivers, “not to take risks, to adhere to the utmost caution, and to avoid movement except for necessity in light of the deteriorating weather conditions.”
