World Campo Championship in Turkey: Algeria finishes second with 64 medals

The Algerian national Kempo team finished its participation in the world championship, which ended on Saturday evening in Antalya (Turkey), in the second place in the world with 64 medals, including 17 gold, behind Germany and ahead of Spain, Indonesia and France, which had the fifth place.

The head of the Algerian Federation of Kempo, Hichem Ouhalima, who accompanied the Algerian delegation to Turkey, considered that the results achieved were “very positive and the national players did well. “Thanks to this record, the national team of specialization has maintained the same position it occupied in the previous edition, which is the goal that was set before leaving the country,” he said.

On the third and last day of the competition alone, the national team managed to win 15 medals (5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze). This record was preceded by 24 medals (4 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze) in the competitions of the first day, and a total of 25 medals on the second day (8 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze).

The national team had participated in the Kempo championship held in Turkey with 19 athletes, including six women.
