World Cup Qatar-2022: Record sales of 1.2 million tickets within 24 hours

Qatar recorded a significant number of sales for the for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets, notably by fans of 10 countries, not to mention the global demand, which may reach 1.2 million tickets in the first 24 hours of the initial sales period.

The global event attracted fans from Qatar, Argentina, Mexico, USA, UAE, England, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and France.

With regard to the final match, which is scheduled to take place on December 18 at Lusail Stadium, more than 140,000 tickets have been ordered while more than 80,000 tickets have been ordered for the opening match.

With the huge number of people from all over the world, FIFA reminded all fans that FIFA.com/tickets is the only legitimate and official website to order tickets for the  FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

During the first phase of sales, which ends on February 8, 2022, at 13:00 Doha time, fans can submit ticket orders at any time. At this point, all applications will have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets, whether they are submitted on the first day, the last day, or any time in between, as the ticket allocation process begins after the application period ends.

If requests exceed the number of tickets available to fans from within or outside Qatar, tickets will be allocated to applicants through a random drawing process.

Fully or partially successful applicants and unsuccessful applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications no later than Tuesday, March 8, 2022, and will be provided with the steps they should follow and the deadline for payment of the allocated tickets.
