Zebdi: We discussed with president of the republic, the role of civil society in evaluating dilapidation, fighting fraud and monopoly

President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, within the framework of his consultations with representatives of civil society, representatives of six national associations, who appreciated his support to association movement and the strengthening of its role in building a new Algeria.

In a statement to the press after the meeting, the president of the Algerian Organization for Protection and Guidance of Consumers and their environment, Mustapha Zebdi, affirmed that the meeting with the President of the Republic “was extremely open and was marked by transparency and honesty,” noting that the President of the Republic “supports civil society and pays great attention to this segment”. That support – as he said – “will take us forward.”

He added that during the meeting, several points related to the consumer were discussed, including “the role of civil society in evaluating some behaviors such as dilapidation, fighting fraud and monopoly, and the role assigned to the association in protecting the health of the consumer,” adding that the President of the Republic “made us responsible for contributing to this important role.”

It’s worth noting that these meetings took place in the presence of Nazih Ben Ramadan, the advisor to the president of the republic in charge of the association movement and the national community abroad.
