Zionist official storms Al-Aqsa: Algeria condemns provocative act

Algeria strongly condemned on Tuesday the provocative act of a Zionist official who stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque in flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legality and in clear contempt for Muslims and Christians around the world, calling on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, said a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.

Algeria strongly condemns “the provocative act of a Zionist official who stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque, in flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legality and in clear contempt for Muslims and Christians around the world,” the statement reads.

“This condemnable act, which comes in addition to a series of systematic violations committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people, their property and their holy places, as part of a dangerous expansionist plan, confirms once again the imperative of providing the necessary protection to the Palestinian people and putting an end to these criminal practices that undermine the Middle East peace process,” the source added.

“Algeria calls on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people and reiterates its inalienable position in favour of this brotherly people with a view to recovering its legitimate rights, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital,” the statement concluded.
