Italian President Sergio Mattarella ends his state visit to Algeria

Italian President Sergio Mattarella left Algeria today, Sunday, from Rabah Bitat Airport in Annaba, at the end of his two-day state visit to our country.

The Italian President was seen off upon his departure from Rabah Bitat Airport by Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and the governor of the province of Annaba Djameleddine Brimi.

Mr. Mattarella, who was accompanied by an important Italian delegation as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, and the Minister of Culture and Arts, Wafaa Chaalal, visited the Church of St. Augustine and the archaeological site of Hibon in Annaba.

It’s worth noting that the two-day state visit paid by President Mattarella to Algeria is part of the strengthening of the partnership and the consolidation of the close cooperation relations between the two countries and the opening of new horizons for the benefit of the two peoples.

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, had bid farewell this afternoon at Algiers Airport to the Italian President when he was heading to the city of Annaba.
