International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People: Affirming Algeria’s unswerving solidarity with Palestinian people struggle

Participants in the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People affirmed, today, Tuesday in Algiers, Algeria’s unswerving solidarity with the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people against the Zionist occupation, until the establishment of the independent State of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, praising the initiative of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune , to reunite the Palestinian factions.

The Palestinian ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, said during his participation in the event “in order to confirm the Algerian-Palestinian cohesion”, organized by the “Machaal Al-Chahid” Association at the “Moufdi Zakaria” Palace of Culture, that “Algeria’s position towards the Palestinian issue is completely different from all other positions.”

Abu Aita recalled that the late Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat, announced the establishment of the State of Palestine from Algeria, and “a few days ago, with the blessing of President Tebboune, the Algeria Declaration was launched to reunite the Palestinian factions,” which highlights that Algeria is taking practical steps in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

After thanking Algeria’s presidency, government and people for their stances supporting the Palestinian cause, the ambassador highlighted that the Palestinian people, despite the “disappointment” they are experiencing at the international level, as they are almost left alone in their fight against the Zionist occupation, will continue their struggle, stressing that “there is no solution and there is no peace in the region except with the establishment of a Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and no matter how long the battle lasts, the Palestinians will continue to resist until they achieve victory.”

Abu Aita indicated that the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is tantamount to “an explicit recognition by the international community of the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, and an affirmation of the importance of their just struggle, which is supported by the resolutions of international legitimacy.”
