Algeria attends the 54th edition of the ITB Berlin

Algeria will participate in the 54th edition of the Berlin International Tourism Bourse (ITB Berlin) from March 7 to 9, according to a press release issued by the National Tourism Office (ONAT).

The participation of Algeria in this 54th edition, to be held at the Messe Berli exhibition centre, is part of “the policy of the tourism and handicrafts sector aimed at promoting the image of Algeria abroad”, the press release said.

ONAT indicated that Algeria has been participating for years in this “important tourist event in the world”, as “Germany is the first tourist exporting country in the world with 100 million tourists/year preferring to spend their winter holidays in sunny regions”.

The climate in Algeria promotes winter tourism and the professionals and representatives of the sector are working to “recover the sector’s vitality and attract more German tourists “.

For the success of this participation, ONAT has set up a 99 m² stand designed according to the architectural and cultural heritage and the tourist diversity, with the necessary equipment and means to allow the participating operators to carry out promotional actions such as working meetings with the foreign operators.

Various promotional brochures in English have been prepared for distribution at the stand to promote Algeria as a tourist destination. Information and guidance will be provided to the visitors and the media to promote tourism in Algeria.

During this event, craftsmen will hold workshops to promote the Algerian cultural heritage, particularly traditional products and Algerian gastronomy.
