Algeria hosts seventh session of Algerian-Nigerian bilateral border committee on Monday

The Algerian-Nigerian border bilateral committee will hold its seventh session, under the supervision of the minister of the interior, local communities and urbanization, Kamel Beldjoud, in line with his Nigerian counterpart, Alkache Alhada

This two-day session is part of the ”strengthening” of Algerian-Nigerian cooperation relations, and involves high-level directors from the two countries representing various sectors, as well as bordering provinces governors and experts from the two sides.

The meeting of this committee is “the concretization of the friendship and good –neighborly ties that unite the two countries, which are devoted to continuous work and coordination in areas of mutual interest”, especially with regard to “security coordination, migration, economic and social development in the border areas and other vital topics”.

The work of this committee is expected to produce a series of practical recommendations in the form of a road map that will “shape the framework of close relations between the two countries”.
