Algeria renews its support for the efforts of the Libyan authorities to restore stability in the country

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Boukadoum, renewed today, Saturday, Algeria’s support for the efforts of the Libyan authorities to restore security and  political stability in Libya and achieve national reconciliation among all parties of the Libyan people.

In his opening speech to the Algerian-Libyan Economic Forum held in Algiers, Boukadoum said “I renew Algeria’s support for the efforts of the Libyan authorities, consisting of the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity, to restore security and political stability in Libya and achieve national reconciliation among all parties of the Libyan people and unify and strengthen state institutions, in preparation for the holding of free and fair general elections that guarantee Libya’s unity and territorial integrity and put it on the path of reconstruction, prosperity and growth.

Algeria is hosting the proceedings of the two-day Algerian-Libyan Economic Forum, which is organized with the aim of strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Algeria and Libya and discussing opportunities for bilateral partnerships between the various economic sectors in the two countries.

About 500 Libyan and Algerian operators representing various economic sectors, in addition to representatives of various chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture, employers’ organizations and governmental bodies related to economic affairs are participating in this event.

In parallel with the Forum, a special exhibition of Algerian products (goods and services) will be organized, over the next two days, at the Pins Maritimes Exhibitions Palace here in Algiers.
