Border police services at Houari Boumediene International Airport managed, during the past few days, to thwart an attempt to smuggle a sum of hard currency abroad, and to arrest two people who were about to leave the national territory towards Dubai Airport, according to a statement issued today, Wednesday by the national security services.
The same source indicated that the vigilance of border police personnel at Houari Boumediene International Airport “allowed the arrest the two suspects and the seizure of a sum of money estimated at 118,500 euros.”
After completing the legal procedures, the two suspects were brought before the competent judicial authorities.
