Bouslimani discusses with Palestinian counterpart ways to strengthen existing relations between the two countries in media

The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, discussed with his Palestinian counterpart, Ahmad Assaf, on the sidelines of the work of the 2nd edition of the Arab Media Conference being held in Tunisia, means of strengthening cooperation relations linking the two countries in the field of media and communication, said a press release from the ministry on Friday.

“Mr. Bouslimani met, on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the 2nd edition of the Arab Media Conference which is being held from January 13 and 14 in Tunisia, his Palestinian counterpart”, indicates the same source, specifying that the two parties have examined the cooperation relations between the two countries in the field of media and communication and the means of their promotion.

The Minister of Communication reiterated “Algeria’s permanent support for the State of Palestine in various fields”.

He also displayed “Algeria’s attachment to supporting cooperation in the field of media and communication”, stressing “Algeria’s constant position vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause”, according to the same source.

For his part, the Palestinian Minister of Communication praised the relations linking the two countries at all levels, reiterating his “sincere thanks to Algeria for its efforts aimed at the recent reunification of the ranks of the Palestinian political factions at the Summit of Algiers held last November”.

Mr. Assaf also reiterated his “thanks to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his support for the Palestinian state”.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed “to continue strengthening cooperation in the field of the media between the two countries in the service of the two Algerian and Palestinian peoples”, the statement concluded.
