Easing traffic congestion in the capital: the government is considering launching two projects

During its meeting held today, Wednesday, via videoconference, the government headed by the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, examined two draft executive decrees that include authorizing the launch of two projects aimed at easing the traffic congestion in the capital, according to a statement of the Prime Minister’s services.

The projects concern the construction of a tunnel at the intersection of National Road No. 08, National Road No. 61 and provincial Road No. 59 in Kalitous, as well as the completion of the duplication of provincial Road No. 133 at a distance of 6.5 km, the section between provincial Road No. 142 and provincial Road No. 233, including Two (02) technical installations, the same source adds.

These two projects, according to the statement, are related to declaring the public benefit of the two projects that fall within the “urgent” projects aimed at easing the traffic congestion in the capital.
