Forum of late President Houari Boumediene: A commemoration of the man’s achievements and a consensus on his skill and strategy

Participants in the National Forum on late President Houari Boumediene, held today, Tuesday in Algiers, recalled the man’s achievements, his outstanding personality and political skill, as well as his proactive view and his support for just causes.

During this forum, which was organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, late Boumediene’s achievements, his revolutionary and political path were tackled , highlighting his leadership skills and proactive view which helped him face up to challenges and raise the voice of the free and independent Algeria in support of just causes in the world.

In this regard, Dr. Mahieddine Amimour, who held the position of media advisor to the late President Houari Boumediene, affirmed that the latter was “a school and a leading figure with a great ability to choose between the alternatives offered and to seize the best of them or determine priorities adding that he didn’t take any decision before examining, analyzing and reviewing the data with the people with experience”

For his part, war veteran and former diplomat, Saleh Ben Kobbi, evoked the circumstances in which President Houari Boumediene grew up and joined the revolution, underlining the barbarity of the French colonialism and its endeavor from the first moment to eliminate the Algerian people and obliterate their identity.

The forum, held under the slogan “Houari Boumediene…a statesman with the determination of a nation,” was marked by lectures that dealt with the economic strategy of the late president and his relationship to just causes.

On the occasion, an exhibition of pictures of the late president and his personal belongings was organized, and his family was also honored, along with a number of mujahideen and researchers.
