The Gold Mining Exploitation Company “ENOR” received the first quantities of gold ore produced by the mini-enterprises that obtained mining licenses for the artisanal exploitation of gold at the processing plant in the Amesmessa Mine (In Guezzam), according to a press release by Ministry of Energy.
According to the same source, a total quantity of more than 40 tons at an average concentration of 11.8 g/ton was received by two small companies, the first with a quantity of 22.850 tons at a concentration of 13.725 g/ton and the second with a quantity of 17.380 tons at a concentration of 9.462 g/ton.
Ministry of Energy and Mines stated that it plans to achieve an initial production of gold for the current year by about 250 kg, to rise to 500 kg in the next year.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines revealed, last week, the signing of 36 commercial contracts between “ENOR” and small institutions to purchase gold ores produced in the framework of opening the field of artisanal mining exploitation of gold for youth living southern regions.
