The National People’s Assembly hosted today, Sunday the official celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, which coincides with December 18 of each year, in the presence of the President of the National People’s Assembly, Brahim Boughali, members of the government and representatives of several official institutions and bodies.
The ceremony, which is organized by the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language under the slogan “The Contribution of the Arabic Language to Human Civilization and Culture”, was also attended by the Presidential Adviser in charge of National Education and Higher Education Affairs, Noureddine Ghouali, the Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Badari.
Since 2012, UNESCO has been celebrating the International Day of the Arabic Language because of its role and contribution to preserving and spreading human civilization and culture.
