International Women Day: President Tebboune reiterates his full support to Algerian women

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent a message to Algerian women, in which he said: “”This day, which represents the values of freedom, equality and human dignity, offers us an excellent opportunity to express our pride in the women of Algeria,”.

The message was read on his behalf by the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, Kaoutar Krikou, at a ceremony organized in honour of Algerian women at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

In his message, President of the Republic highlighted the role of Algerian women “in terms of political empowerment and participation in economic recovery, the enshrinement of the principle of equity in access to senior positions and protection against all forms of violence under a legal framework in line with national constants and in accordance with international commitments.

Within the same context, President Tebboune, and in the same message, went on saying: «I am deeply convinced of the strong will of our country’s women to join institutions, mainly with regard to the integration of women in economic life through the promotion of wealth-producing projects and the spirit of entrepreneurship among innovative women”.

On this occasion, President Tebboune called for “the synergy of the efforts of the daughters and sons of Algeria at a time when the willingness to sow discord and chaos are no longer concealed,” saying he is convinced that “they are inevitably doomed to failure in the face of the people’s determination.

Expressing his full trust in Algerian women capabilities and competence, President of the Republic concludes his message by wishing the best for “our daughters and sisters”, and by reiterating his full support to them to achieve success in the future in order to build the new Algeria.
