Karim Bousalem, a journalist at the Public Television Corporation, died, today, Sunday, at the age of 49, after being infected with the Coronavirus at Tizi Ouzou Hospital.
The deceased began his media career in early nineties at “Sabahiyat” program within the Production Directorate, after which he moved to the News Directorate as a main presenter for the 20h main bulletin.
Late Karim held several positions at the national television, including editor-in-chief, and supervised many news programs, the most important of which were “In the Spotlight” and the “The Eighth Day” programs.
The late also supervised training courses for newscasters on public television.
Following this great loss, Minister of Communication, Ammar Belhimer, offered his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to the media family.
