King of Jordan Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein ends a state visit to Algeria

King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, ended today Sunday, a state visit that he paid to Algeria at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Jordanian monarch was seen off at Houari Boumediene International Airport, by Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, along with a number of government members.

During this two-day visit, President Tebboune held private talks with the Jordanian monarch which were later expanded to the members of the two countries’ delegations.

Eralier, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein was officially received by President Tebboune, where he reviewed, in the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, a detachment of the Republican Guard that gave him the honorary salute.

This visit was marked by the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, which included several areas, such as political consultations, diplomatic relations, media, education and maritime training.

During this visit, the President of the Republic awarded Algeria’s guest the “Athir” Medal of Merit for the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the Jordanian monarch. For his part, awarded President Tebboune the “Renaissance” Medal, which is the highest Jordanian civil royal decoration awarded to presidents.
