Libyan Foreign Minister confirms readiness of National Unity Government to secure elections in the country

Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nadjla Al-Mangoush, has expressed the readiness of the Libyan National Unity Government to secure the elections in the country and harness all the necessary capabilities for that, according to the Libyan News Agency.

The agency stated that Al-Manqoush’s statements came during her participation, yesterday, Friday, in the work of the “Mediterranean Dialogues” forum, which was hosted by the Italian capital, Rome.

The Libyan minister confirmed through a series of tweets that she posted on her Twitter account, “The Libyan national unity government’s point of view coincides with the international and European position, which supports ending the transitional stages and going to elections in Libya,” the same source added.

Nadjla Al-Mangoush stressed that “the priority of the countries of the world is to stop wars and protect human rights, in addition to securing a minimum level of justice and comprehensive development opportunities for all countries, which are seen as hotbeds of tension and a cause for exacerbating sensitive issues such as illegal immigration.”
