The Minister of Water Resources and Water Security, Karim Hasni, made, today, Wednesday, a working and inspection visit to the headquarters of the Water and Sanitation Company of Algeria “SEAAL” to give the necessary support and encouragement to the new work team that was installed yesterday, Tuesday, after the end of the management contract linking the institution with the foreign partner.
A statement issued by the ministry said that the minister stressed, during his intervention before the officials of the institution, “the need to intensify efforts and activate coordination with all the bodies that have young competencies capable of taking up the challenge and achieving a real breakthrough in the fields of improving the public service of water and sanitation at the level of the two provinces of Algiers and Tipasa.”
The minister also gave – the same source added – directives to continue the work and exploit all available opportunities in order to secure the provision of drinking water to citizens in light of the current conditions in the country, especially with the scarcity of rain and the decline in the amount of surface water stored in dams.
In a related context, Hasni gave instructions to mobilize all the executives in the field in order to achieve the established goals by working to continue the implementation of the various programs in addition to the effective application of water distribution programs.
