A press release issued by the Ministry of National Defense stated today, Monday, June 14, 2021, that “in the context of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of security services of the Ministry of National Defense, a terrorist named “Hanouni Ahmed”, called “Ibrahim”, surrendered himself yesterday, Sunday, June 13, 2021 to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the Sixth Military District.
The same source added, “The terrorist, who had joined the terrorist groups active in the Sahel region in 2008, had in his possession a (01) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun and (01) ammunition store filled.”
The communiqué of the Ministry of Defense stated that this operation comes “to confirm the determination and vigilance of the People’s National Army in combating terrorism and all forms of crime, as well as the tireless efforts made by our armed forces in the field, in order to extend security and tranquility across the entire national territory.”
