Detachments of People’s National Army managed, during the period from December 21 to 27, to thwart attempts to bring in more than 5 quintals of treated kif across the border with Morocco, according to an operational outcome reported today, Wednesday, by the Ministry of National Defense.
Border guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie, thwarted “attempts to smuggle large quantities of fuel estimated at 28,112 liters in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tebessa, Souk Ahras, and El Tarf.”
On the other hand, coast guards thwarted “illegal immigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued 259 people who were aboard traditionally made boats, while 90 illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.”
