Mohamed Arkab participates in the work of the “OPEC” conference

The Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab participated today, Saturday in the works of the 185th meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which was held via videoconference, according to the ministry’s statement.

The statement indicated that the ministers of the “OPEC” member states discussed, during this meeting, issues related to the organization’s management and functioning, as well as the current situation of the oil market and prospects for its development, in the short and long term.

The Minister of Energy and Mines will also participate, tomorrow, Sunday, via video conference technology, in the work of the 46th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, as well as the 34th ministerial meeting of “OPEC” and their allies outside the organization, or the so-called “OPEC +” group.

The ministers responsible for the oil sector in the 23 countries that signed the Declaration of Cooperation (OPEC + group) will discuss the recent developments observed in the international oil market and the prospects for its development in the short term, according to the same source.
