Morocco involved in another corruption scandal in the European Parliament

Morocco has been involved in a new corruption scandal in the European Parliament, following the investigation conducted by the Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which confirmed the involvement of 15 European MPs in the case, some of whom admitted that they were part of an organization used by intelligence in Rabat, according to international media.

The case, which caused a sensation in Brussels, led to the arrest of the Greek Vice-President of the European Parliament, Eva Kaili, as her companion, Francesco Giorgi, admitted today, Thursday, to Belgian investigators, that he was part of an organization used by Morocco “for the purpose of interfering and influencing European affairs,” according to what he said. This was stated in the French-speaking Belgian newspaper “Le Soir”, based on documents that it had access to with the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica”.

This major scandal is the second in which Morocco is involved, after the case of espionage through the “Pegasus” program, which was designed by the Zionist “NSO” company and used by the Makhzen system.
