Morocco: National Union of Higher Education threatens to boycott new university year

The National Union of Higher Education in Morocco threatened to boycott the new university entry as a result of university professors’ complaints about the lack of seriousness of the guardianship ministry, and its evasion of implementing its promises and obligations to respond to the sector’s demands.

It is noteworthy that the Administrative Committee of the National Union of Higher Education had decided on an escalation struggle plan during its meeting on May 29, which began with the implementation of a national strike on June 7, 8 and 9, and postponed the boycott of university entry twice in a row (on July 3 and August 28) to give the government a deadline to fulfill its promises, and bring the statute into being.
