Mustapha Hidaoui reaffirms the support of Algerian youth to the just Sahrawi cause

The president of the High Council of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui affirmed, Wednesday in Algiers, the support of young Algerians to the just Sahrawi cause.

In a statement on the sidelines of his participation in a forum of solidarity with the Sahrawi people entitled: “Western Sahara, last colony in Africa” organized by the association “Michaal Echahid” on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the adoption by the General Assembly (GA) of the UN, the Declaration on granting independence to colonized countries and peoples, Mr. Hidaoui said the young Algerians “worthy heirs of valiant revolutionaries, will continue to defend the just cause of Western Sahara.

“Solidarity with the Sahrawi people is inspired by one of the constants of the Algerian people, namely support for all just causes of liberation,” said Mr. Hidaoui, recalling that Algeria had ” backed the Sahrawi issue since the beginning and continues to express its unconditional solidarity with this cause.

In this context, Mr. Hidaoui said he is confident that “the young Algerian has shown awareness of the lies and allegations targeting Algeria. He gave the world a lesson during the popular Hirak, confirming that he would not be led by such nonsense.

Referring to “some black sheep who try to undermine the will of Algerians to support the just causes”, Mr. Hidaoui expressed his disappointment to see “some parties from outside attacking Algeria by relying on the Makhzen and other terrorist movements hostile to Algeria.

For their part, participants in this conference stressed the need to implement the international charters and resolutions to put an end to gross violations of human rights, conducted by the Moroccan occupier against the Sahrawis in the occupied territories, and allow the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence.

As such, the ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Algeria, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, affirmed the need to inform international public opinion on the situation in which the Sahrawi people is suffering in order to take the necessary measures to end these serious violations committed by the Moroccan occupation.

The Sahrawi diplomat said that the inability of Morocco to legitimize its occupation of the Sahrawi territories and to take the issue out of its legal framework (cause of decolonization), has pushed the Makhzen authorities to seek other means to cover this failure, including normalization with the Zionist usurper entity, which, contrary to all Moroccan forecasts, “has caused it more problems both internally and externally.

For his part, the former diplomat and Moudjahid Noureddine Djoudi held the UN Security Council responsible for the failure to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara and the non-implementation of UN resolutions that affirm the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.

For his part, the former minister, Mahieddine Amimour stressed the importance of awareness of international organizations, including those concerned with human rights, that dealing with international causes must be done with integrity and objectivity, and renouncing the policy of “double standards”, noting the role of the African Union (AU) in the protection of the right of the Saharawi people.

For his part, the expert in constitutional law, Souilah Boudjemaa said that Algeria had a major role in the adoption of Resolution 1514, known as “Declaration on the granting of independence to colonized countries and peoples” of the UN, stressing that “the Algerian Revolution is a reference for the liberation movements and recovery of rights of peoples.

For his part, the deputy at the National People’s Assembly (APN), Badaoui Tamime denounced the media blackout on what is happening in the occupied Sahrawi territories, insisting that “it is imperative to have a real mobilization to confront the practices of the Moroccan occupation, in complicity with certain parties.

At the close of this conference, the president of the Association Machaâl Echahid, Mohamed Abad revealed that a foot-ball tournament would be organized next February in honor of the Sahrawi Chahid and symbol El-Ouali Mustapha Sayed.
