National Agency for Investment Promotion: 526 investment projects registered during first semester of 2021

The National Agency for Investment Promotion registered 526 investment projects amounting to nearly 140 billion DA during the first six months of 2021, said Monday here in Algiers, the agency’s Director General, Mustapha Zikara.

These projects, which are expected to create about 14,000 jobs, have made progress compared to the years 2019 and 2020, as explained by Mr. Zikara in his intervention on the occasion of the launch of the digital platform www.algeriainvest.com.

According to the designers of this platform, the latter, which is destined to Algerian and foreign investors, is “a means of support for all investment plans in Algeria.”

According to the CEO of the institution, the designer of the “i2b” platform, Hamid Batata, the digital platform is considered a means to assist in investment decision.

Mr. Batata explained that “in the context of (Algeria-tenders), represented by a tender platform established in 2002, it is from now aimed at further supporting investors and partners through a proper entry into the business environment in Algeria.”

For his part, the official of the digital platform “Algeria Invest”, Rashid Reda Alalouche, confirmed that this method is “independent of all sponsorship and financed by private funds.”

He added that this platform collects “up-to-date, accurate and complete” data on various information related to investment issues such as rules, laws and procedures, as well as solutions and recommendations of experts.

The digital platform includes economic press articles, expert contributions, and pages dedicated to business opportunities and climate in Algeria.
