National People’s Assembly: Boughali receives a delegation from the Palestinian Hamas movement

Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, Mr. Brahim Boughali, received today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Lower House of Parliament, a delegation from the Palestinian Hamas movement, led by the head of the movement’s office of prisoners and wounded, Mr. Zaher Jabareen.

During this meeting, Mr. Boughali reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause, which is important to all Algerians, considering that “defending it is a duty that falls on the shoulders of all parliamentarians in various regional and international forums.”

On the occasion, the Speaker of the National People’s Assembly stressed the need to give the Palestinian issue the same importance that some other international issues enjoy, denouncing in this regard the policy of double standards.

After Mr. Jabareen reviewed the developments of the Palestinian cause, he praised the outcomes of the Reunification Conference for Palestinian National Unity, which Algeria hosted in mid-October, stressing that the movement is committed to the success of the “Algeria Declaration” that resulted from this initiative, and took all measures to implement it.

Meanwhile, the meeting constituted an opportunity for the Palestinian delegation to request Algeria’s assistance with regard to presenting the issue of the rights of prisoners inside the prisons of the Zionist entity to international and regional human rights and humanitarian organizations.
