Office of the Council of the Nation praises President’s political roadmap to complete building of the state and its institutions

The office of the Council of the Nation praised, during its meeting today, Monday, the political roadmap adopted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to lay the foundations of the new republic to complete the building of the state and constitutional institutions, calling on everyone to show political flexibility and citizenship so that it can actively participate in building a democratic future, according to a Council of Nation’s statement.

The statement indicated that the office of the Council of the Nation “after convening the electoral college in anticipation of the holding of the early local elections slated for November 27, hails the political roadmap aimed at laying the foundations of the new republic adopted by the President of the Republic to complete the building of the state and the constitutional institutions and its goals in managing the needs of the Algerian people, calling on the various national actors to “show political flexibility and citizenship so that they can actively participate in building a democratic future amid several challenges and their repercussions such as Coronavirus pandemic and the hostility of enemies and their tails.”

The office of the Council of the Nation also urged the Algerian people “to be more vigilant to face up to the haters and traitors, and to demonstrate, as each time, their attachment to the institutions of their state, as it was recently shown when they managed to turn the fires into light with all the signs of sympathy between the sons of the same country.

At the international level, and after praising the restoration of Algerian diplomacy led by the President of the Republic to its brilliance and its pioneering role in the region and throughout the African continent, the Council’s office condemned “all hostile and disgraceful behavior against Algeria and the unity of its people and land, the last of which was” what emanated from the western neighbor which lean on violation entities and terrorist organizations which encourage their new behaviors wrapped in the membrane of democracy and misunderstanding of the principle of human rights.

The meeting, chaired by Parliament Speaker Salah Goudjil and expanded for the heads of parliamentary groups and the financial controller, was devoted to discussing the arrangements for the opening of the regular parliamentary session of the Council of the Nation for the year (2021-2022), scheduled for next Thursday, in accordance with the text of the article of the constitution, as well as a meeting of the offices of the two chambers of Parliament and the representative of the government to set the schedule the work of the next parliamentary session, especially those related to discussing the government’s work plan and the rest of the bills that will form the agenda for this session.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of the Council of the Nation and the audience stood and recited the Fatiha of the holy Coran in tribute to the souls of the martyrs, civilians and soldiers, who died during the recent fires in the country.
