OPEC +: Postponing 18th ministerial meeting for more consultations among member states

Members of the 18th ministerial meeting of OPEC countries and their allies outside the organization (OPEC +) postponed their scheduled work today, Monday, to another date that will be announced later, and this is for further talks and consultations between member countries, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The ministerial meeting of the countries of the “OPEC +” group includes 23 countries (13 countries in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and 10 non-members of the organization) that signed the cooperation declaration.

The meeting aims to study the conditions of the global oil market, discuss its short-term prospects, and take appropriate decisions based on that.

It is worth noting that Algeria participated, on May 1 and 2, through videoconference, in the work of the 181st ministerial meeting of the Organization of “OPEC” and in the work of the 31st meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (GMMC).
