The 24th edition of the International Exhibition of Building, Building Materials and Public Works “Batimatec 2022” was opened on Sunday in Algiers, with the participation of 750 national and international exhibitors.
The official opening ceremony took place in the presence of the Director General of Construction and Means of Achievement at the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Rédha Bouarioua, representative of the Minister of the sector.
This new edition of the fair, which is held at the Palais des expositions in Algiers until May 19, focuses on the encouragement of the national product in the realization of the various construction projects, but also the introduction of energy efficiency in this domain.
During the press briefing he hosted on the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Mr. Bouarioua indicated that this “flagship” event in the building and public works sector is marked this year by “significant” international participation, with 250 exhibitors from around fifteen countries”.
Italy is the foreign country that participates with the largest number of companies, with a total of 80 exhibitors, followed by Turkey which has 65 companies taking part in this fair, detailed the official of the ministry.
