Performing rain prayers across all mosques of the country next Saturday

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments called on imams to perform rain prayers across all mosques in the country, next Saturday, according to what was announced today, Wednesday, by a ministry statement.

The same source explained that the rain prayer will be held next Saturday, across all the mosques of the country, starting at ten AM (10:00), in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him, who performed the rain prayer in times of drought.

The ministry has headed all its directorates across the entire national territory in order to hold rain prayers in the wake of the drought that affected many provinces of the country, and in view of the urgent requests from citizens regarding the performance of the rain prayer, with the Friday sermon dedicated to supplication to Allah and reminding people of “the provisions and etiquette” of rain prayers, such as repentance, seeking forgiveness, responding to grievances, maintaining ties of kinship, and fasting before performing this prayer, in addition to giving alms to the poor and needy to spread mercy and social solidarity among people,” the statement added
