President of the Republic calls for moving towards entrepreneurship and encouraging innovation to address the problem of unemployment in the continent

President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, called today, Monday, to move towards entrepreneurship based on innovation in order to address the problem of unemployment in the African continent.

In a message to the participants in the First African Conference for Emerging Enterprises, which opened its works today in Algiers at the International Convention Center, and read on his behalf by the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic saluted the initiative to organize the forum, which dedicates the feasibility of investing in the knowledge economy and start-up companies, and highlights the role of innovation in advancing the economies of Africa, which records “the highest global rates currently in the proportions of youth groups, which, unfortunately, is matched by high unemployment rates,” .

The President of the Republic added that development challenges in the continent are numerous and “necessitate the development of mechanisms that raise Africa to the level of economic competitiveness through an approach that adopts strengthening the role of emerging companies in the economies of African countries, which have proven effective in achieving sustainable development.”
