President of the Republic honors a group of distinguished and creative women

The President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune celebrated today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, on the occasion of the eighth of March, the Algerian woman, by receiving and honoring a group of distinguished and creative women.

The honored women are women who excelled in various fields of scientific and practical life and who have stood out, like many other Algerian women, and they are still keeping pace with the present alongside their male brothers.

The list of the nominees honored the President of the Republic includes Dr. Fatima Zahra Zemmit, an assistant professor of medicine at Al-Qatar Hospital in Algiers and a specialist in infectious diseases, who received the Excellence Award for Arab Women in the field of medicine, by the Arab League.

The list also includes Ms. Amina Rekkab, a professor at the University of Abu Bakr Belkaid in Tlemcen, who was distinguished by receiving the award for the best doctoral thesis in judicial sciences by the Arab League, as well as Ms. Houria Triki, a researcher in the Department of Physics at the University of Badji Mokhtar in Annaba, who was ranked by Stanford University in the United States among the best scientists in the world.

The President of the Republic also honored Ms. Yamina Bouchikh, a researcher at Djilali El Yabes University in Sidi Bel Abbes and the Algerian National Institute for Agricultural Research, who is specialized in microbiology, for her research in bacteriology and virology which was hailed at the national and international level.

On the same occasion, Ms. Najat Ghallami, Director-General of “Diyar Edzayer” company for E-Commerce, was also honored, her experience in digitization qualified her to establish the first electronic platform for Islamic finance trade in Algeria, Africa and the Arab world.

For her part, Ms. Rezika Doufane was honored by the President of the Republic, she is a craftswoman from the province of Tizi Ouzou, specialized in the field of traditional embroidery.

In addition to these, the President of the Republic honored Ms. Aicha Djellab, a poet from the province of Setif who received the award of November 1, 1954 organized by the Ministry of Moudjahidine and Rights Holders, and Ms. Noha Hamdani, an eminent artist in painting and decoration. She is also the owner of a micro-enterprise in Biskra.

Ms. Fayza Haroun, a journalist at the Algerian News Agency, was also given this honor, she is distinguished through her rich career in the media field.

In the sports field, Ms. Iman Khalif, who excelled in women’s boxing, in the less than 60 kg category and who belongs to the Civil Protection Sports Club in Tiaret was honored, she won several national, African and international titles and awards.
