President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, while presiding over a cabinet meeting, on Sunday, gave instructions and directives regarding university admissions for the year 2021-2022, according to a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
The communiqué added that the President instructed to find mechanisms to change the general distribution of university majors by moving towards exact sciences and technology, and to continue embodying the principles of specialization and excellence, to create specialized university cities, according to the capabilities of various university institutions, and their economic and social environment, in addition to involving competencies of Algerian universities, in various programs aimed at achieving digital sovereignty, and developing cooperation programs to frame the contribution of Algerian experts to development efforts in brotherly and friendly countries.
The President of the Republic also directed to provide the capabilities for qualitative training by the best means, with the need to benefit from the capabilities of university staff, and to give special importance to training and higher scientific supervision in the schools of artificial intelligence and mathematics, with respect to the highest rates in all regions of the country.
