President of the Republic receives a phone call from his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan

President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, today Tuesday, in which he congratulated him on the advent of the blessed Eid al-Fitr and wished him and the Algerian people “more progress and prosperity,” according to a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic.

On the same occasion, “The President of the republic expressed, in return, his sincere congratulations to him and to the brotherly Turkish people.”

The two presidents exchanged –added the press release – “views on developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, where the two views coincided on the need to stop the Zionist aggression against the defenseless Palestinian people and their sanctities.”

The phone call was an opportunity in which the President of the Republic and his Turkish counterpart reviewed the situation in Libya in light of the new data and prospects, and agreed to a future meeting to avoid any slippage that might undermine the progress made in this regard.

Regarding the reinforcement of bilateral relations and their progress in various fields, the two presidents emphasized “the necessity of activating the Joint Higher Committee for Cooperation as soon as possible to serve the interests of the two countries.”
