President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed that the return of the Algerian ambassador to Paris is conditional on “full respect” for the Algerian state.
The President of the Republic said in excerpts broadcast on television during the 8PM news bulletin about the press interview he gave to representatives of national media, which was broadcast this Sunday evening, that “the return of the Algerian ambassador to Paris is conditional on full respect for the Algerian state.”
The President of the Republic added that “history cannot be falsified, and that relations with France are the responsibility of people and history,” stressing that “France must forget that Algeria was a colony.”
Last week, Algeria summoned its ambassador in Paris for consultations on the French President statements on Algeria history and institutions, expressing its “categorical rejection of unacceptable interference in its internal affairs.”
