Professor Bouamra: The epidemiological situation in Algeria is stable, but it remains worrying

The specialist in preventive medicine, Professor Abdelrezzak Bouamra, described, today, Friday, the epidemiological situation in Algeria as stable, adding that despite this stability in terms of number of infections by Coronavirus, the health situation in the country remains a matter of concern after new infections with mutated strains were registered.

The specialist in preventive medicine, Professor Abdelrezzak Bouamra, upon his arrival as a guest on the “Noon” program of the Algerian News TV Channel Three, warned citizens against lax adherence to the preventive measures of the Coronavirus epidemic, noting that health services registered in recent days a state of stability in the number of infection, saying: “The numbers are rising and declining, and this condition, from a medical point of view, is stable.”

In this regard, Professor Bouamra added, that despite this stability in the number of infections by Coronavirus, the epidemiological situation in Algeria remains “worrisome due to the registration of cases of infection with mutated strains, and this is frightening because these strains have more serious peculiarities in terms of spread and symptoms,” calling on citizens to go to health clinics for vaccination against this virus.
