Quran studies facilities closed for 10 days to reduce spread of coronavirus

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakf decided to suspend study across all Quran education facilities for ten days starting on Thursday, as part of measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus, says a statement of the ministry.

“As part of the measures taken to curb the spread of the corona virus and in line with the decisions taken by the country’s higher authorities in this regard, to suspend study in educational institutions for ten days, starting on Thursday, January 20, the central administration of the ministry wrote to the Religious Affairs and Wakfs directorates in the province informing them of the decision to suspend study in all Quran education facilities,” the statement said.

The same source added that “the decision includes Quranic schools, Zawiays, classes and Quranic workshops for ten days, starting from Thursday”.
