Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra embarked, today, Sunday, on a two-day working visit to the Republic of Niger in his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a ministry press release.
During this visit, Ramtane Lamamra will be received by the highest authorities of this country, where the reality of bilateral cooperation, distinguished by a positive dynamic, which was given a strong impetus by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Nigerian counterpart, Mohamed Bazoum, will be discussed, added the same source.
On this occasion, regional and international issues of common interest will also be addressed in order to strengthen the traditions of dialogue and coordination between the two neighboring countries, according to the ministry’s communiqué.
The same source explained that Lamamra would also discuss the latest developments, especially the situation in the Sahel region and the Libyan crisis, in light of the results of the meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries held in Algeria on August 30 and 31.
